Dr Anthony Mason has had a broad range of training in psychiatry. He has worked as a specialist in inpatient units and community teams in the subspecialties of general adult and older persons psychiatry.

Dr Mason graduated in medicine from the University of Cape Town in South Africa in 1998. He then moved to the UK where he worked and trained in psychiatry within the British National Health Service.

Dr Mason has worked as a specialist in the British National Health Service for 7 years before relocating to Australia. Since moving to Australia in 2016, Dr Mason initially worked as an inpatient Psychiatrist at Gosford and Wyong Public Hospitals. He then worked at Brisbane Waters Private Hospital for 3 years, where he was involved in the inpatient TMS treatment program. He has been a Fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists since 2018. He now works from private rooms at TMS Erina. Dr Mason’s interests are the pharmacological treatment of mood disorders and ADHD.

REFERRALS

Dr Mason is readily available for one-off assessments for TMS.

He has a limited capacity to take on long-term non-TMS patients, but reviews referrals on a case by case basis.

Dr Roman Montanari is a graduate of Sydney University (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, with Honours). He worked for a number of years in hospital medicine and surgery, and in emergency medicine departments.

He eventually decided to specialise in mental health, obtaining his full Psychiatry Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2003.

Dr Montanari’s training was in the Northern Sydney Area Health Service, and he has treated patients in numerous hospitals, including RNSH, Northside Clinic (St Leonards and Wentworthville), St John of God Hospital (Burwood), and most recently in Brisbane Waters Private Hospital.

He has expertise in Neuromodulation therapies (rTMS and ECT).

His main clinical work is in Major Depressive Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Schizophrenia, and Adult ADHD.

Dr Montanari is well-grounded in mainstream medicine, but has also developed a healthy understanding of the limits of medical science, and thus employs an openminded and broad ranging approach to prescribing, seeking results where others have failed.

REFERRALS

Dr Montanari has limited capacity to take on new patients but will consider new referrals on a case by case basis.

Dr Greg Pearson is a consultant psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience in both private and public psychiatry. He has a wide range of expertise including addiction, neurodevelopmental, mood, anxiety, personality and trauma related disorders.

Greg has been a medical director in several private hospitals and has an extensive knowledge of psychiatric treatment that is highly sought after. He is known for his warm, humorous and compassionate approach and is highly dedicated to his patients.

Dr Pearson has very limited capacity for new patient at his Erina practice. Please contact our office directly for his current wait times.

Dr Robin Price graduated from the University of Cape Town in South Africa in 1998. She subsequently moved to the UK to complete her internship. Dr Price completed her training in psychiatry in Wessex, England. and worked as a consultant psychiatrist in Dorset in a Community Older People’s Mental Health Team for 9 years.

In 2016 she moved to Australia with her family and has lived and worked on the Central Coast since then. She currently works as a specialist mainly in Older People’s Mental Health based at Gosford and Wyong Hospital. Her interests include mood disorders, and Women’s mental health.

REFERRALS

Dr Price is commencing private practice for 1 day a week at TMS Erina and has limited capacity to accept new referrals.

Rohan Charlton

Senior TMS Technician Registered Nurse 

Rohan is a registered psychiatric nurse with many years of experience in treatment, training and delivery of TMS. 

He completed postgraduate studies at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick in acute adult psychiatry and completed TMS training at Blackdog Institute, Randwick. Rohan enjoys working with the team at TMS Erina because of the comfortable surrounds and he can offer patients personalised, relaxed and accurate treatment where the patient always comes first. 

Vanessa Jordan

Practice Manager 

Vanessa has worked with Dr Mason, Dr Montanari and Dr Pearson previously at Brisbane Waters Private Hospital. She has extensive experience in Mental Health and has a background in Accounting, Medical Administration and Pathology Collection.

She has also completed practical training in TMS treatment at the Black Dog Institute in 2022.

Vanessa heads up the administrative team at TMS Erina and works behind the scenes to make sure things run smoothly.

She endeavours to make every patient and staff member feel comfortable with her friendly and professional nature. She will go the extra mile for everyone to make sure their experience with us is enjoyable.

Monique has brought her considerable experience and energy to the TMS Erina team. Previous to her administrative role at TMS Erina, Monique has successfully fulfilled various administrative and healthcare roles including community care, assistant in nursing aged care and managing her own massage/aromatherapy business for 10 years. Monique is a kind and caring individual who brings efficiency, empathy and expertise to the TMS Erina administration team.
